Tagged

I've been tagged for the very first time! Thank you, Kysha, for helping me feel loved today.

Here are the rules:
1. The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player tags 5 people and posts their name, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

What was I doing 10 years ago:
May 1998. I had just gotten married 9 months prior and spent much of my time thinking I had made a huge mistake and crying about it. I was miserable. Scott was miserable. Our marriage was a mess from day one. In fact, the first 6 years of our marriage was a disaster with the exception of a few short months here and there where we managed to like each other enough to create two children. In 2003/2004, we nearly divorced but somehow managed to stay together and make it work. We are now doing well.

Five snacks I enjoy:
1. Sour cream & onion dip with wavy chips
2. Chocolate chip cookies dunked in milk
3. Zucchini bread (but only the recipe I use)
4. Donuts (and more donuts)
5. A ripe, juicy nectarine (hard to find good ones here though)

In the real world:
1. I am disorganized and easily distracted. I have trouble getting things done because of it.
2. When motivated, I can get amazing amounts of work done, often to the exclusion of everything else.
3. I enjoy being silly when I'm alone or with people I feel comfortable around.
4. I have a lot of fun with my kids, but I don't like being around other people's kids.
5. I get emotionally involved in TV and movies; I avoid scary movies because they scare me way too much.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
1. Pay off all our debt.
2. Move...to a nicer, larger house with a lot of land that is still close enough to a larger city to enjoy both rural life and city life.
3. Create investments/savings for each child to help them with college, moving out on their own, and their weddings.
4. Create retirement investments/savings.
5. Travel for school (ie. extended field trips to places we are studying)

Five jobs I've had:
1. Fast food
2. Pet Store Clerk
3. Retail
4. Hostess and waitress
5. Phone customer service

Three of my habits:
1. Getting on the computer the moment I wake up or arrive home.
2. Forgetting the laundry in the washer/dryer.
3. Losing my keys

Five places I've lived:
1. Naples, Italy (I was three; my brother was born there)
2. Anaheim, CA (1 mile from Disneyland)
3. Riverside, CA
4. Seattle, WA
5. Tacoma, WA

What do you want others to get from your blog:
I write my blog primarily for myself as a record of things we've done. It's the only form of "journaling" that I have successfully kept up with. It's also here for extended family if they wish to know what's going on with us. Finally, I hope that others will see that homeschooling can be done successfully without spending many hours each day at the table doing book work. I hope I can encourage others to get out of the house more and enjoy the many opportunities out there to learn by doing and seeing. And, to have fun!

Now I'm passing this tag along to:
Mama Lavender
From Melissa's Desk
Our Quiver is Full
All in the Fam
Chocolate on My Cranium

I think I'd do the exact same things if I were a billionaire.

I'll write my post this weekend.

Thanks for the tag!

Your snacks are gooooood! LOL! I can't watch scary movies for the same reason! And I would've never guessed that you were disorganized!
