Delicious Dairy Free Apple Crisp

Apple crisp is a lovely dessert that is easy to make dairy free. Here's how I make it.


6-7 peeled and sliced apples
1/2 lemon (juice) or 1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 sticks dairy free margarine (cold)
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.

Mix together the apples, lemon juice, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Stir until apples are evenly coated. Place in 9 x 13 pan.

Cut margarine and flour together with a pastry cutter. Add brown sugar, oats, salt, and cinnamon and mix until crumbly. Spread mixture evenly over apples.

Bake for approximately 55 minutes. Apples should be tender and topping lightly browned and crunchy.

Enjoy warm with a scoop of Coconut Bliss; both Vanilla and Naked flavors work well as an a la mode addition to desserts.
