Botany Lesson

My zucchini are rotting on the vine!  After some research, I think the problem is flower end rot caused by lack of pollination.  I certainly haven't seen any bees anywhere near my garden.  So, I began going out to my garden each morning, locating the male flower, gathering some pollen on a small, soft paint brush, and pollinating the female plant myself in hopes we'll get some zucchini to mature.  Today, I went outside to do my daily pollinating duties when I found a bee!  We had an impromptu botany lesson today.  It was all very exciting.

Here's the bee meandering around the male flower, gathering pollen.

After a while, he visited the female flower.

And here's a close up of the bee.
