I am a homeschooling mom of four wonderful blessings and Master Playologist with SimplyFun. I'm known for my distractedness, thus the title of my blog. It's about all of the distractions in life: those that are part of homeschooling, those that distract from our homeschooling day, and everything in between. I love everything that comes with staying at home and homeschooling the kids and wouldn't trade it for anything. I love helping others and hope to encourage parents to spend time connecting with and getting to know their kids better. You can find me on Facebook (HomeschoolDistractions or JoAnnsGames), Twitter (JoAnnsGames), and Perioscope (JoAnnsGames). You can also email me at fortheloveofshiny at gmail dot com.

Samuel completed his black belt testing for taekwondo last night and this morning. He did awesome, but we'll know for sure if he passed either next Friday or the Wednesday after that. Master Pae knows we are anxious to get the final word because we are planning a party to celebrate. Here are some highlights:
The Judges: Master Pae center
Flying Side Kick**
Reading one of two required essays
Stretching at the school picnic/testing day 2
Warm up jog....waaaaaaaaay over there
Punching practice
Black belt testing: 3 on 1 sparring
Black belt testing: five different breaks (fifth is two boards together out of the picture)
And the second board breaks
And here is a video of Sam's board breaking:
Sam has worked hard to get to this point. We are really proud of him.
