A local-ish co-op puts on a formal dance for the homeschooled teens each year. Mikaela has a few friends who attend the co-op, so when I heard about the dance, I decided it would be fun for her to attend...whether she wanted to or not...hehehe.
There's a great dress rental place nearby, so we headed there to try on dresses. Fortunately, she found one that she liked. Not liking the shoes they had available, we bought her shoes. It make the occasion more special, we got her ears pierced with cubic zirconium studs. Daddy took her to get a manicure and pedicure two days ago. Today, we got her hair styled. And then when she and her friend were all ready, we headed outside for some pictures, of course.

She was just picked up by her friend's mom. She is spending the night there. But I hear that they are giggly and happy and had a good time.
